I’m Heather Smith, a high school math teacher, treasure hunter, and host of Finding Treasure Inside. I earned my B.S. from Auburn University with a dual focus in Pure Mathematics and Secondary Education, and my M.Ed. in Gifted Education from the University of Missouri. With more than 12 years of experience teaching Logic and Reasoning, I bring a structured, evidence-based approach to There’s Treasure Inside. 

I have been part of the TTI hunt since December 2024, and as of April 2026, I have hiked over 150 miles on more than 35 trails across 6 states. My journey with this hunt began to shift when I realized I was becoming stuck in a “loop” — and decided to use my training and analytical skills to examine both the brain behind the design and the design itself.
